This series dives into the real stories and experiences from the pest control industry and even a few from related trades. Each episode highlights the funny unexpected and sometimes shocking moments we encounter while working in crawlspaces attics and job sites across Sonoma County and beyond.

Episode 1 Yellow Jackets in My Pants

We kicked off Pest Control Chronicles Episode 1 with a wild story that many pest techs can relate to. While treating a wasp nest a hidden yellow jacket ground nest was accidentally disturbed. Before realizing it the technician found himself swarmed by yellow jackets crawling up his pant legs. The result was a chaotic sprint across the property trying to get away from the swarm while removing his pants to escape the stings. It is a hilarious but very real reminder of how unpredictable this job can be.

Episode 2 The Rat Family Surprise

In Pest Control Chronicles Episode 2 Richard Romaker aka the Rat Slayer shares one of his most unforgettable moments. During a crawlspace insulation removal he discovered just how cozy rodents can get. As he pulled down some soiled insulation an entire family of rats fell directly onto his chest. A shocking moment no doubt but just another day on the job for a pest control professional.

Episode 3 Lactose Intolerance on the Job

Episode 3 brings a lighthearted twist to the Chronicles as Adan Mendoza from Fresh Wind Solutions shares a non-pest story that still fits the job site theme. One of his crew members who is lactose intolerant made the unfortunate choice to have a cheese-filled lunch right before work. Let’s just say the rest of the job involved some unexpected and uncomfortable moments for everyone involved.

Episode 4 Flea Infestation Gone Wild

Pest Control Chronicles Episode 4 covers a serious flea infestation that resulted in the technician receiving over 100 flea bites during the inspection and treatment. Flea infestations can escalate quickly and this story shows just how severe these situations can become if not handled properly.
