His words serve as a reminder to appreciate the simple blessings that come with every day we are able to get up and work.

In Robert’s words
If you’re in a blue collar job and you’re doing your thing hats off to you. I salute all my fellow blue collar workers. Never take it for granted that you have a body that works hands that work legs that get you to and from your job and a vehicle that takes you where you need to go.
For those of us who spend our days out in the field working with our hands and solving problems for homeowners across Sonoma County this message hits home. It is a privilege to do this kind of work. Every job we complete every home we help protect and every customer we serve allows us to put food on our tables support our families and serve our community.
As Robert said it is easy to fall into the mindset of “I have to go to work.” But if you take a step back and shift that perspective everything changes. Instead of saying “I have to” remind yourself
I get to work
I get to provide for my family
I get to be of service to others
I get to use my hands and body to accomplish meaningful tasks
I get to have a home to return to at the end of a long day
I get to share a meal with my loved ones
