Rodent Inspection Recap
Entry Points and Prevention Tips

We conducted a rodent inspection at a residential property and uncovered several areas where rodents are likely gaining access into the home. Rodents can enter through even the smallest openings, and once inside, they can damage insulation, wiring, and create serious sanitation issues.
Key Findings from the Inspection
Exterior Entry Points
During our inspection, we identified several areas around the exterior of the home where rodents could gain access. These included unsealed foundation vents, openings in the eaves that allow direct entry into the attic, and gaps near the chimney, which is a common entry point for rodents.
Crawlspace Access
A more serious concern was a large opening beneath the deck that leads directly into the crawlspace. This opening must be sealed from underneath the home to prevent rodent intrusion.
Sealing all these access points is essential to eliminate current infestations and prevent new ones from occurring.
Roof and Gutter Conditions
We also found organic debris buildup on the roof. This material traps moisture and attracts pests, creating the kind of environment rodents are drawn to.
In addition, the gutters were clogged with leaves. This not only hinders proper drainage but also offers another entry route for rodents.
Recommended Action
Recommended Action
We recommend removing all organic debris from the roof and thoroughly cleaning the gutters. After cleaning, installing stainless steel gutter guards will help keep debris out and reduce rodent activity around the home in the long term.
Rodents are persistent and opportunistic. Addressing structural vulnerabilities, maintaining clean exterior areas, and implementing prevention measures are critical to protecting your home.
At Nature Pacific Pest Control, we specialize in identifying and sealing rodent entry points, providing cleanup, and offering long-term prevention solutions.
