Pest Inspection 2427 Neotomas Ave Santa Rosa

today we did a Pest Inspection at the above address. We got a call for subterranean termites, flying out of the ground near the garage.

Upon inspection, we identified that they were in fact, subterranean termites. We also found subterranean termites in a few locations of the crawlspace. We recommend doing a full perimeter soil treatment, as well as treating the crawlspace

Vapor barrier

The soil in the crawlspace was damp in some areas we recommend installing a moisture vapor barrier to control the moisture under the home.

Surface fungus

We found surface fungus underneath the bathroom and kitchen. This is a wood destroying organism, we recommend scraping off all the fungus and treating with a registered fungicide.

Rodent entry points

We located some areas on the roof where rodents can get into the attic. We recommend sealing those areas to prevent a rodent infestation.

Dry rot

We found dry rot on the right hand side of the garage. We recommend removing the siding that has rot. Treating The framing behind the siding with wood preservative then reinstalling Tyvek weatherproof paper and new siding.

Landscaping

We recommend trimming plants. We recommend bushes and shrubs, be trim back a minimum of 18 inches from the siding. Any trees or tall bushes should be trimmed back at least 4 feet from the roof and gutters. This will help keep Roof and gutters from damage and also keep rats from getting onto the roof.

leak

We found a small leak. We recommend Holman Plumbing to correct this issue.
