In California, if you hold a Pest Control license; Whether it be an applicator, field Representative or an operator You will have to do continue education hours to keep your license active. The state board sets the requirement for the total amount of hours you will need which are dependent on which license you hold. A pest control technician has to renew their license every three years. Listed below are the different requirements. Hopefully this helps with your renewal process.

How to renew a pest control license in California

An applicator Needs 12 total hours of continuation hours. 4 rules and regs, 6 pesticides Usage and 2 Integrative pest management (IPM).

A field representative or operator will need 16-24 hours depending on how many branches the individual is licensed in.
For example, A pest control Field representative that is licensed in branch 2 & 3 Will need 20 total hours of continued education. 8 rules and rega, 4 technical for branch 2, 4 technical for branch 3, 4 IPM Integrative pest management, and 2 general hours.
