Dry Rot repairs on decks

 

it is common for decks and stairs to get dry rot. Often times decks are overlooked because they are not part of the structure of the house; but Dry rot repairs on decks is needed very often.

Wood members of decks that tend to rot inside: deck boards,  joists, support beams, decretive trim and fascias. Dry rot occurs when water gets into the wood. Dry rot is also known as a fungus and a wood destroying organism.

Dry rot repairs on decks will be needed. If proper maintenance on the decks is not a priority. It is very important to keep decks stained or primed and painted. Doing these maintenance every few years will keep moisture out of the decks and prevent dry rot on decks from happening.
